SERVING WESTCHESTER GOLF ASSOCIATION MEMBER CLUBS
Located in Fairfield (CT), Bronx, Dutchess, Orange, Rockland, Putnam, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester Counties (NY).
The Westchester Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Fund was established in 1956 by William P. (Willie) Turnesa, two time U.S. Amateur Champion, Captain of a Walker Cup team and British Amateur Champion, with his longtime friend, Udo Reinach. The WGA Caddie Scholarship Fund provides need based financial assistance to deserving caddies and others who work in service to golf, enabling the pursuit of higher education. To date, scholarships have been awarded to over 2,000 young men and women. Currently 266 students are attending colleges, universities and trade schools with the support of a caddie scholarship, representing a four-year commitment of more than $3.6 million.
The WGA Caddie Scholarship Fund is made possible by the continued participation of the WGA member clubs and their recognition of the integral and important part that caddies play in the game of golf. Significant contributions are also received from alumni, individuals, businesses, various foundations and memorial funds. To learn more about gifts to the WGA Caddie Scholarship Fund, please call 914-347-2340 or email to info@westchestergolf.org.
